NEW DEHLI: Cricketing ties between Pakistan and India have resumed as Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has announced that the Pakistan team will tour India in December this year to play three one day internationals (ODIs), Our Sources reported.
According to the Indian media, the BCCI has agreed in principle to invite the Pakistan cricket team. The bilateral series will be the first after five years severed after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.The report about the series comes after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) put forward three proposals to their Indian counterparts in a bid to resume bilateral cricket ties between India and Pakistan.The PCB proposed that either India could tour Pakistan or play them in a neutral venue. The third proposal was PCB hosting their home series in India.
దాదాపు ఐదేళ్లుగా కొనసాగుతున్న ప్రతిష్టంభన తొలగిపోనుంది. చిరకాల ప్రత్యర్థులైన భారత్, పాకిస్థాన్ జట్ల మధ్య క్రికెట్ సంబంధాల పునరుద్ధరణకు మార్గం సుగమమైంది. సోమవారం జరిగిన బీసీసీఐ వర్కింగ్ కమిటీ ఈ కీలక నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో పాక్ జట్టు డిసెంబర్లో భారత్ పర్యటనకు వచ్చి మూడు వన్డేలు, రెండు టి20 మ్యాచ్లు ఆడనుంది. అటు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం కూడా పాక్ పర్యటనకు ఆమోద ముద్ర వేసింది. ఈ విరామంలో మూడు వన్డేల సిరీస్ కోసం పాక్ జట్టు భారత్కు రానుంది. ముంబైలో 2008 నవంబర్లో జరిగిన ఉగ్రవాదుల దాడుల నేపథ్యంలో ఇరు జట్ల మధ్య క్రికెట్ సంబంధాలు దెబ్బతిన్న సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ఈ డిసెంబర్లో స్వల్ప కాల పర్యటనకు పాక్ జట్టును ఆహ్వానించాం. జనవరి 2013 వరకు వీరి పర్యటన ఉంటుంది. పూర్తి వివరాలు త్వరలోనే తెలియజేస్తాం, అని బీసీసీఐ ఒక ప్రకటనలో వెల్లడించింది.
భారత్లో పాక్ పర్యటనకు కేంద్రం నుంచి ఎలాంటి అభ్యంతరం వ్యక్తం కాలేదని బీసీసీఐ ఉపాధ్యక్షుడు రాజీవ్ శుక్లా స్పష్టం చేశారు. ‘తటస్థ వేదికల్లోనైనా క్రికెట్ సిరీస్లు జరగాలని చాలాకాలం నుంచి పాక్ క్రికెట్ బోర్డు కోరుతోంది. అయితే అలా ఆడడం బోర్డుకు ఇష్టం లేదు. అందుకే డిసెంబర్ 22 అనంతరం పాక్ జట్టును ఇక్కడికి ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నాం. ప్రస్తుతానికి ఈ స్లాట్ మాత్రమే అనుకూలంగా ఉంది.
