Greater Noida: Sebastian Vettel stormed to the pole position for the Indian Formula One Grand Prix ahead of Red Bull teammate Mark Webber on Saturday to further underline his world championship ambitions.Vettel’s main title rival, Fernando Alonso, will start Sunday’s race from fifth place, as the McLarens of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button occupy the second row on the grid in third and fourth place, respectively.
Vettel overturned a 39 point deficit on Alonso by winning the last three races in Singapore, Japan and South Korea, and is now also well positioned to triumph in India, where he won the inaugural race from pole last year.
